Spring Lawn Fertilizer (20kg bag)

Our Spring Lawn Fertilizer is sold in 20kg bags. The Fertilizer numbers are 25-5-10+2.5%mg (50% slow release N) meaning it consists of:

• 25% Nitrogen, promoting top growth
• 5% Phosphorus
• 10% Potassium
• 2.5% Magnesium, giving your lawn the dark green colour

50% of the Nitrogen contained in the fertilizer is slow release Nitrogen. It releases gradually, to keep your lawn lush and green.

Application of Fertilizer:

Correct application ratios of fertilizer to area is:

• 2kg/100 square meters (1,075 square feet) for typical lawns.
• 4kg/100 square meters (1,075 square feet) for lawns in poor conditions.

Feed your lawn every other month, beginning in April. A lawn fed 3-4 times a year develops a deep root system to resist heat, drought & wear. It also develops thick green top growth, naturally resistant to weeds, disease, and insects. For best results, always use a spreader - more uniformed growth is obtained when half the required amount is spread over the entire area length-wise, and the other half applied over the same area in a crosswise direction. Shut the spreader off when stopping or turning.

Watering:

For the best results, apply as soon as the snow is gone. At this time, watering is not necessary & fertilizer can be used on wet grass. After growth begins, only apply when grass is dry. Results will be greatly improved if the fertilizer is washed off the lawn foliage and the ground is soaked thoroughly.
