Super Shade LS is composed of a mixture of seed that is tolerant to shaded areas. This mixture ensures dense shade tolerance and high turf quality, the Lateral Spread also allows wear tolerance. Super Shade LS is composed of:

• 30% Creeping Red Fescue (Thrives in shaded areas and most soil types)
• 20% Chewings Fescue (Thrives in shaded areas, most soil types and is foot traffic tolerant)
• 10% Poa Trivialis (Excellent shade tolerance, cold & frost tolerant)
• 40% Slider LS Perennial Ryegrass (wear tolerant, and self repairing)

Tips for Shaded Grass Growth, Using Super Shade LS:

For the best results, preparing your soil and grass seed is recommended in the fall. Though, it will still grow in the spring months. The best soil temperature for Super Shade LS germination is 10-25 degrees Celsius, the air temperature should be between 16-30 degrees Celcuis.

Ensure that your soil is level and has good drainage, or when watering, the seed will wash out. If you do not have sandy soil, it is recommended to add a thin layer of sand to the top of your soil. Due to the small size of the Super Shade LS seed, do not bury them deep into your soil, spread the seed evenly over the surface area, and add a thin layer(⅛ inch) of sandy soil on top of the seed.

Super Shade LS requires 12-22 days to sprout, during this time, your soil should be keep moist by lightly watering.

Do not mow your Super Shade LS area for a few weeks, until the grass matures. To promote thickening, mow frequently but leave 4" or longer from the ground, this stimulates the lawn to spread and thicken.
